PTI Gals Layout from CHA 2009

Hey!!!  So I'm still working on my CHA pics.  This is the 2nd layout that I created during crop last Friday.  Still using the June Bug by Basic Grey.  I'm so addicted to this paper.  I'm going to keep using it until I run out of it.  I cut out the flowers from one of the sheets and then flipped it over (image side down) and sprayed some red velvet glimmer mist.  Then I flipped it over and used the image side as embellishment on this page.   

It was so cool to meet the PTI girls.  They were all so sweet and approachable.  Loved Dawn and Nichole, I had so much fan chatting with them.  

I'm so tired from working out that I don't really know what else to say.  Seriously my arms hurt from working out.  I hate that bicep machine and I really dislike the leg curl for the hamstring.  So on Thursday my friends and I are going to try out Hot Yoga or Bikrim yoga in 102 degree heat.  I hate the heat.  I'm not looking forward to it but I have to try it and then decide.  Wish me luck.  :)

Today I'm Most Grateful For: were going to the rays vs. red sox game today. cant wait to get green cotton candy!!! 

My Paula Dean Experience and a Poll on Embellishments

I love the food network and I love Paula Dean.... one stick of butter, a pound of velveeta cheese and all!!!  Haha!!  

So no I didn't get to meet Paula Dean.  Not yet.  I'm hoping that working for a cable company will come with some perks like...meeting my food idol.  Anyway, I did get to spend some amazing cooking time with a wonderful women who is just like her, talked like her and cooked liked her.  Lots and lots of butter.  Don't forget the chicken fat too.  OMG!  But let me tell yah honey...southern cooking is amazing!!!!!  I really think that I was a southerner in my past life.  There's something about the cooking that makes me feel right at home.  

So that's Parrish up there.  I loved that picture of us.  I helped with her baby shower.  I was part of the food committee.  I was happy to help and I helped her momma Gail prep and cook food till the weeeee hours of the morning.  Boy I was tired but I had so much fun.  I wish I had a picture with her mom.  But I never did get to take one with her.  The bottom page is a pic of the entire party committee.  I was planning on placing a big brad over the face of the girl on the far right.  I know I'm mean but I didn't really care for her.  Hahah!  hey its my page.  Love Jen and love Parrish!!!

So question????  You always hear that a mistake is an embellishment opportunity.  Have you guys ever scrapped a page and someone you didn't care for found there way into the pic anyway..... what did you do? Leave it or embellishment opportunity????

I'll take a poll.  Your answers will dictate what I do with her.....

Today I'm Most Grateful For: For movies that help me...not think for 2 hours.  It's truly therapeutic.  Also for amir... letting me talk and talk and talk some more and still think that i'm not crazy...even when I think I'am!!!

Hey there!!!Hope you all are doing good!!!  Have you been seeing the CHA sneak peeks out there?  I'm getting really excited because I'm going with some friends to the Supershow.  It's an hour and a half away so i can't not go...yah know.  Anybody going???  Let me know!!  So we can meet and take pics!!

My Name is Naomi and I'm a Shopaholic

    

I have a shoe, bag, and scrapbooking addiction.  As I'm typing this I'm thinking....well geez this title would be great if I was finally posting pics of my new scrapbook room.  But its still not ready.  It is, but its missing an owl and other little things.  I'm not quite ready yet.  Now if only I could display my purses the way I display my buttons, glitter, stickles and paper.  I need a bigger closet space or a purse room. Light bulb moment.  I think our next house will have to be a five bedroom house.  Amir will kill me.  I do have a problem.  But pretty things makes me sooo happy!!!  Especially if they are Coach,  Gucci, LV's, Cosmo Cricket, Sassafras, Basic Grey, CTMH or SU!  

Moving along.......

Easy card over here.....all you need is a little piece of ribbon, stamp, blender pen and some markers.  I made this card one night as a way to de-stress.  I brought work home and needed a break.  I was actually inspired by Amy Tsurata's blog.  I always see her creating such simple and clean cards.  I had to try it myself.  

So I finally saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic" fun fun fun movie!!!  Duh (the title of my post gave that away) Isla Fischer fits the role perfectly.  The movie reminded me so much of Sex and the City....same costume designer.  If you want to have fun this weekend with the girls.....watch this.  You'll love it!

Whatever Challenge #2: Embossing

   

Today is embossing day!  I had another card planned but I think I will just work on that next week.  This week is going to be hectic for me.  I'm currently cheating right now and posting stuff I made in the past but never got to a chance to get posted on my blog.  Everyday this week I have something planned.  Fun stuff but still I'm going to be out and about the entire week.  

Anywhoo.... I used my favorite cuttle bug embossing folder here....it looks like a damask pattern.  It's supah cute.  Oh and I just love this chandelier stamp by Heidi Swapp I got it from our local scrapbook store here called K2...love that place.  

Have you guys seen Confessions of a Shopaholic yet?  I'm going to watch it with a bunch of my girl friends next week.  Im soo excited.  Have you seen it yet?  What it good?  I read half the book.  I'd rather watch it at the movies than read about it.  I'm more of a blog and magazine reader than a book reader :)
